Another fun spring break in La Mirada is just around the corner! The city has three spring camp opportunities planned this year for families staying local covering engineering (with LEGOs), science (with a rocket launch), and tennis (with water wars).
Jedi Engineering with LEGO Materials (1 week)
The Force Awakens in this introductory engineering course for young Jedi! Explore engineering principles by designing and building projects using LEGO® materials such as X-Wings, R2 Units, energy catapults, defense turrets, and settlements from a galaxy far, far away. Create motorized and architectural projects with imagination and engineering to defeat the Empire!

Science in Action! (1 week)
Discover how things move with science. Join a team of camper engineers and build bridges and pyramids. Assemble and control pulleys, levers, catapults, and simple machines. Let your imagination take flight as we join Sir Isaac Newton and prepare for aerospace adventures with his laws of motion. Experiment with the laws of physics, gravity and motion during this amazing week of hands-on fun. We will end the week with a live rocket launch! $40 materials fee due the first day of class.

Spring Break Tennis Camp (1 week)
Get on the courts this spring for tennis camp! Our professional coaching staff guarantees 12 hours of tennis fun in the sun. All students will learn basic strokes such as the forehand, backhand, serve and volley. Players will also play camp favorites like dodge-ball, water pistol shootouts, water balloon wars and ultimate Frisbee. We will also play popular academy tennis games while bouncing to the beat, as music is played each camp day. Also, this camp will hold our famous “Hit for Prizes” on the last day of camp.
