The Los Angeles County Department of Public Works and Sanitation Districts of Los Angeles County will be hosting a free household hazardous waste roundup in La Mirada on Saturday, May 5 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
La Mirada residents will have the opportunity to safely dispose of household hazardous waste items at La Mirada Regional Park in the Tennis Court Parking Lot, near Adelfa Drive. The La Mirada Regional Park is located at 13701 Adelfa Drive. The event is open to all Los Angeles County residents, and proof of residency is required.
A limit of 15 gallons or 125 pounds of hazardous waste per trip will be enforced. Materials such as motor oil, paint, turpentine, cleaners containing acids or lye, household and car batteries, pesticides, e-waste, and garden herbicides can all be brought to the Countywide Hazardous Waste Roundup.
Follow the tips below to better prepare for the HHW collection event:

- Place like chemicals together. Separate unlike chemicals.
