Pre-Ballet – 6 weeks (Ages 3 to 4) Introduction into the wonderful world of dance! Fundamentals of ballet and movement are explored in an active, playful and fun group setting. Basic tap is provided for rhythm. Comfortable dance attire recommended. Ballet and Tap (Ages 2 to 8) Come join Parenting Magazine’s award winner for ‘Best Dance.’ Children will learn the basics of ballet and tap in a fun, positive and rewarding environment. Child must bring ballet shoes, tap shoes and any leotard/TuTu will do. Students who wish to participate in the dance recital must be enrolled in the entire session to be eligible to attend the recital. Mommy and Me Ballet – 6 weeks (Ages 2 to 4) Designed for the youngest of Mrs. Cristina’s ballerinas, come and enjoy with your child the wonderful world of dance! Parent participation required. Comfortable clothing recommended. Beginning Ballet – 6 weeks (Ages 5 to 8) For continuing students or newcomers, a progressive class focusing on more advanced elements of ballet and tap. Hip Hop Dance – 5 weeks (Ages 6 to 12) Your child will have a great time learning Hip Hop dance moves and routines. All music has been edited for appropriateness. Comfortable clothing and sneakers will be helpful. No jeans please. Jazz Dance – Beginning – 6 weeks (Ages 5 and up) – FREE A high energy class where dancers will learn basic jazz moves and combinations! Builds dancers’ style and the ability to pick up choreography, with fun rhythmic music. Comfortable clothes. Jazz or ballet shoes will be helpful. This is a beginner class, no previous dance experience required! Jazz Dance – Intermediate – 6 weeks (Ages 5 and up) – FREE This class is a continuation of the beginner jazz dance class where dancers can learn intermediate jazz moves and combinations while continuing to build their style and ability to pick up choreography, with fun rhythmic music. Comfortable clothes. Jazz or ballet shoes will be helpful. Prior jazz dance experience preferred! Adult Basic Ballet – 6 weeks (Ages 16 and up) Whether you have a background in dance or have always been curious to learn, come join us for a lovely evening of ballet, music, and camaraderie. Comfortable clothing recommended. Belly Dance – 5 weeks (Ages 13 and up) Escape with this fun fitness and energizing dance form. Burn calories, reduce stress and increase self-esteem while you trim and tone your body with graceful movements from the ancient art of Belly Dance. Cardio Dance Party – 6 weeks (Ages 13 and up) Cardio Dance Party is a non-stop fitness class that keeps you moving & grooving to tunes ranging from disco to country to hip-hop. This class includes a variety of fun dance styles partnered with great music & lots of movement! Salsa Dancing for Beginners – 6 weeks (Ages 15 and up) Turn up the heat! Come and learn this elegant and sensual dance “LA style” with master instructor Louie Angon!! You will learn step by step, with easy to follow instructions learning basic moves, musicality, timing and how to lead and follow.
