Seasonal Card Making – 8 weeks (Ages 18 and up) Participants will learn how to create seasonal cards. A $10 materials fee is payable to the instructor and due on the first day of class at the Activity Center. Adaptive Artful Expressions – 3 weeks (Ages 4 to 12) This is a fun, open-ended art class designed for children on the Autism Spectrum and their siblings. Children can explore various art materials which will provide an opportunity for sensory and creative experiences. A $10 cash materials fee is payable to instructor at first class meeting at the Resource Center. Adult attendance required. Instructor: Jackie Ferraro Special Olympics “Top Flight on ICE” – 4 weeks (All Ages) This class at East West Ice Palace in Artesia is specifically designed for the Special Needs Community. All skaters will learn to skate with a qualified instructor. Skaters will learn to skate forward and backward and gain confidence to skate on their own. Class fee includes skate rental, a half-hour of instruction and free practice session on your registered class day. Instructor: East West Ice Palace Adaptive Swim Class – 4 weeks (Ages 4 to 18) This class at Splash! La Mirada is designed for students who can function in a 3 to 1 student to instructor ratio. Students who need additional assistance are welcome to attend with an accompanying adult. Private classes available. Prerequisite: Starfish Swim School. Adaptive Zumba – 4 weeks (Ages 12 to 21) This fun-filled fitness program at the Activity Center, with very simple and easy to follow moves inspired by Latin dance, hip-hop and other rhythms, creates an aerobic routine to target calorie output, fat burning, and toning. No class 1/21.
