Congratulations to Biola University’s Women’s Swim & Dive team for being ranked the top academic program in all of NCAA Division II and top-5 among all associations of intercollegiate athletics (NCAA (Division I, II, III, NAIA, NCCAA, etc.). The following is an excerpt from an article on Biola Athletics website.

Biola Women’s Swim & Dive edged out Emmanuel (Ga.) with a team GPA of 3.72 to be the top-ranked team in all of NCAA Division II when the College Swimming & Diving Coaches Association of America announced its Scholar All-America programs last week.

Both the men and women’s programs earned Scholar All-America status with the women’s team making the big splash of being the top team in the nation. Both teams have earned the Scholar All-America distinction each year they’ve been NCAA Division II members.

The women achieved such as high team GPA thanks to two student-athletes having a perfect 4.0-grade point average and half of the team’s roster accomplishing a GPA of at least 3.75.

“We are so incredibly proud of the work that all our student-athletes put in to stay on top of their studies,” said Associate Athletic Director Eddie Shepard. “To be the top program in all of NCAA Division II is a remarkable accomplishment. We are thrilled!”

Biola University is the only NCAA Division II West Region team to appear on either the men or women’s top-10 programs. The women’s GPA ranks top-5 among all associations of intercollegiate athletics (NCAA Division I, II, III, NAIA, NCCAA, etc.).
