La Mirada has for many years honored those in the community who have served and those currently serving in the Armed Forces. The City of La Mirada invites local residents to attend the annual Salute to Veterans on Monday, November 4th from 6 to 8 p.m. at the La Mirada Theatre for the Performing Arts. This special event honors our local veterans who have served and those currently serving in our military.
At the event, local Veterans will exhibit their military memorabilia and share their experiences and stories. This year’s program includes a video compilation of interviews from La Mirada’s hometown heroes, a military banner retirement ceremony, and guest speaker Brigadier General David G. Smith, from the California State Guard.
The Salute to Veterans event provides an opportunity to thank veterans for their courage, selfless service, and the sacrifices made to protect this great nation. For additional information click here or contact the Community Services Department at (562) 943-7277.
