McCoy Rigby Entertainment has announced they have booked Jay Leno for two shows at the La Mirada Theatre for the Performing Arts on February 22nd, 2022. Tom McCoy, the co-founder of McCoy Rigby Entertainment, released the details through a post on social media.
Jay Leno is a television and comedy icon. After doing stand-up comedy for years, he hosted NBC’s ‘The Tonight Show’ from 1992 to 2009 and 2010 to 2014. In 2014, he was inducted into the Television Hall of Fame and awarded the Kennedy Center Mark Twain Prize for American Humor. After leaving The Tonight Show, Leno returning to touring as a stand-up comedian and performing at various charity events. He soon began hosting Jay Leno’s Garage, a web series inspired by his love of cars and motorcycles on NBC.com, which became a TV series on CNBC in 2015.
In 2019, La Mirada Theatre for the Performing Arts and McCoy Rigby Entertainment celebrated their 25th Silver Anniversary of producing and presenting professional theatre performances for La Mirada residents and the surrounding Southern California region.
The La Mirada Theatre and McCoy Rigby Entertainment have garnered dozens of awards, winning top honors at the most prestigious award shows. McCoy Rigby Entertainment has also produced numerous national tours in which La Mirada Theatre has benefited both financially and through increased visibility. The partnership was recently honored with the prestigious 2019 Joel Hirschhorn Award for Excellence in Musical Theatre from the L.A. Drama Critics Circle. It produces five shows and one special event each season.
