The City of La Mirada will honor local veterans with special recognition on the City’s digital marquee sign located in front of City Hall from November 7th through November 14th. Residents are encouraged to submit the name of a family member who has served our country and lives in La Mirada for this special recognition. The names and service branch of local veterans will be rotated along with other messages and City information.
To participate, please submit name, service branch, proof of La Mirada residency, and proof of veterans status. All entries must be submitted via email to Community Services Coordinator Veronica Luna at (562) 943-7277 or by email at vluna@cityoflamirada.org by Thursday, October 28th.
Veterans, their families, and veteran supporters are invited to participate in this year’s annual Salute to Veterans event, which takes place on Monday, November 8th from 6 to 8 pm at the La Mirada Theatre for the Performing Arts. Share your thoughts and stories about your time in the military, become an exhibitor of military memorabilia during the event, or submit photos of a serviceperson’s time in the military.
