Petite Fleur: Adonis Rose and New Orleans Jazz Orchestra’s NOJO 7 featuring Cyrille Aimée is coming to La Mirada Theatre for the Performing Arts for a one-night performance on Friday, January 14th at 8 pm.
Founded in 2002, the New Orleans Jazz Orchestra was formed to celebrate and fortify the American Jazz portfolio with an emphasis on developing the New Orleans Jazz industry. Led by Artistic Director Adonis Rose, the ensemble has an ever-increasing repertoire that exemplifies the influence of Jazz as the grandfather of modern American music. The new album, Petite Fleur, tells the love story, musical connection, and history between France and the city of New Orleans.
The new album features French singer Cyrille Aimée whom The Wall Street Journal hails as “one of the most promising jazz singers of her generation” and called a “rising star in the galaxy of jazz singers” by the New York Times. Improvisation is not just a technique for Grammy Nominated artist Cyrille Aimée, it’s a way of life, one that has not only allowed her to share her engaging voice and sparkling creativity with the world, but has led her on an unexpected journey.
Led by Grammy®-winning drummer and artistic director Adonis Rose, NOJO7 is a dynamic seven-piece touring ensemble drawn from the full New Orleans Jazz Orchestra. Playing in the New Orleans brass band style, the group has the versatility to perform within various musical idioms and has a broad repertoire that encompasses traditional New Orleans music, funk, R&B, and original compositions.
Tickets start at only $16. Click here to purchase tickets at La Mirada Theatre’s website, visit the La Mirada Theatre Box Office, or call the La Mirada Theatre Box Office at (562) 944-9801 or (714) 994-6310.
