Love La Mirada is excited to bring back its annual Love La Mirada Day of Service event on October 15th at 8:00 am. The goal of this event is to help people discover more about La Mirada, serve together to improve its neighborhoods and connect with other residents to create an even greater community.
Love La Mirada has put together over 30 service projects around the community and hopes to have many more volunteers this year. Whether you participate by yourself or as a family, there is plenty of day of service opportunities available.
The projects are posted on their website and volunteer registration is live. There are limited spots available for each project. Click here to go to the project list and select one that you’d like to volunteer for.
Love La Mirada asks for you to join them and make a difference in our city. The Kickoff Rally will be held this year at Biola University’s South Field (Entrance 5, Lot C) at 8:00 am. Starbucks Coffee and refreshments will be served. Project teams will get last-minute updates and head out to project sites.
After completing service projects, teams will return to the same South Field location at noon for a free thank-you lunch and a time of celebration for completing the Day of Service. Show your civic pride and make this year’s event a resounding success.
