Buccaneer Bay opens for the summer season this Saturday, May 27. Don’t miss your chance to purchase a season pass and save up to $15 before May 29. The pirate-themed water park, part of Splash! La Mirada Regional Aquatics Center, will be open daily from June 6 through August 4 and on weekends through September 4. Buccaneer Bay will be closed on Mondays in June.
Buccaneer Bay features a flowing river channel, three water slides that enter into a catch pool, a six-lane mat racer, two body slides, a children’s interactive play structure, zero-depth beach entry, and two spray pad areas. Decorative pirate-themed features such as a dramatic skull rock and a marooned ship, create a fun atmosphere throughout the waterpark visitors are sure to enjoy. Splash!, an 18-acre aquatic park, includes a competitive area open year-round featuring a 25-yard heated teaching pool, a 50-meter pool, and a warm water spa. The family fun area is home to the Buccaneer Bay waterpark. Year-round programs include Lap Swim, Recreational Swim, the La Mirada Armada Swim Team, Synchronized Swimming, Diving, Water Polo, Aqua Aerobics, and other worthwhile programs. Community members are encouraged to visit Splash! and discover the program that best meets their needs.
