The Arts Colony of La Mirada welcomes Janna Arutyunyan

October Demonstration Artist

The Arts Colony of La Mirada welcomes artist Janna Arutyunyan as their October Demonstration Artist on Monday, October 6th at 6:30 pm at La Mirada Resource Center. It is a free event, open to the public, with a live art demonstration, as well as a raffle and light refreshments. Come see Janna’s creativity in action and be inspired by her story of resilience, reinvention, and passion for the arts.

Born in Tbilisi, Georgia, Janna’s artistic journey spans fashion design, poetry, and painting. Today, she is best known for her breathtaking three-dimensional floral works created with eco-friendly resins and everyday tools like straws, yarn, and even water bottles. Her signature Iris Garden series has been featured at major festivals and galleries across Southern California.

After immigrating to the U.S. in 1991 as a single parent, Janna never lost her adventurous spirit or her passion for cultural exploration. In 2018, she discovered acrylic fluid painting and transformed that spark into Janna Passion Art—a unique body of three-dimensional floral works crafted with eco-friendly resins and everyday household tools instead of brushes. Her innovative techniques and signature Iris Garden series have been showcased at major art festivals, including Catalina Festival of Art, Calabasas Fine Arts Festival, Laguna Art-A-Fair, and galleries across Southern California.

Janna’s story is one of resilience, creativity, and reinvention. Don’t miss the chance to see her live demonstration at the Arts Colony of La Mirada’s October meeting and be inspired by her remarkable artistry and passion.
