On Thursday, October 30th at 5pm the City of La Mirada invites you to celebrate the newly renovated City Hall Fountain Plaza. The project includes modern upgrades to the fountain’s structure and lighting, while preserving the timeless look that has welcomed residents and visitors for decades. Light refreshments will be served.
The project included restoring the fountain waterfall to closely mirror its original appearance facing La Mirada Boulevard, converting the south fountain pool into a landscape planter adjacent to Civic Center Drive, and constructing a new upper pool area with a smaller fountain pool and a new paved space for public use overlooking the fountain and La Mirada Boulevard. The project also included new LED lighted geyser area features in both fountain pools, as well as additional lighting throughout the fountain. The smaller pools and new recirculating pump system will use less water compared to the original fountain.
