For those who want to enjoy the beauty of the outdoors, the City of La Mirada offers 220 acres of attractive parks. One can take a brisk walk amid beautiful scenery, read a book under a tree, enjoy a picnic, watch a game, or celebrate a child’s birthday in a park. One of these great parks is Behringer Athletic Facility, a popular location for enjoying youth sports throughout the year. There are two sections to the facility used by hundreds of kids for practices and games alike.
Behringer Athletic Facility North covers nine and a half acres featuring four lighted softball fields and two lighted overlay soccer fields. Behringer Athletic Facility South covers ten acres and includes four Little League fields (two of which are lighted), two lighted senior fields, and three overlay soccer fields (two of which are lighted).
In addition to the facilities found in the City’s parks, residents can also enjoy the expansive La Mirada Regional Park and the 18-hole La Mirada Golf Course, which are both owned and maintained by Los Angeles County.
