Laguna Lake Park
Laguna Lake Park is a 28.5-acre urban oasis a short 15-minute drive from La Mirada. It is a wonderful park to spend the day with family and is guaranteed to please nature lovers, hikers, joggers, equestrians, bicyclists or fishermen. Park guests can picnic in the park area just below the dam, stroll around the lake on hardpack dirt trails, sit on a bench and read a book, or depending on the time year, cast a line for rainbow trout, catfish, bass or bluegill. Trout fishing is especially good in late fall, winter and early spring. There are also plenty of geese and other birds to watch.
The 7-acre lake is surrounded by mature trees that provide plenty of shade. Park benches are situated around the lake where you can sit and enjoy the view. A walk around the lake is about 3/4 of a mile.
The 11-mile Fullerton Loop Trail passes through Laguna Lake Park. The loop trail is actually several trails including the Juanita Cooke Trail and which follows the route of the old Pacific Electric red car. This Fullerton Loop trail is a favorite of mountain bikers, runners, and equestrians.
Laguna Lake Park also includes the Equestrian Center. Home to the Fullerton Recreation Riders, the center is furnished with riding rings, show rings, and grandstand seating. The riding arena is connected to over 26 plus miles of dedicated recreational trails connecting numerous city parks and creating many hours of enjoyable riding.
Laguna Lake is stocked by the California Department of Fish and Game. Fish stockings are dependant on weather conditions and may be rescheduled. Please note that no specific dates or times are given for stockings and the Fullerton Parks and Recreation Department is not responsible for these stockings. A fishing license is required at all times for ages 16 and over.
The park is located at 3120 Lakeview Drive in Fullerton. Euclid Street runs next to the park and can be accessed by either Imperial Highway or Rosecrans Avenue.
