In the heart of La Mirada’s close-knit community sits the Civic Center. The beautifully landscaped center includes City Hall, Public Library, Public Safety/Sheriff’s Office, Fire Station, Resource Center, Activity Center, Community Gymnasium, Splash! La Mirada Regional Aquatic Center, La Mirada Regional Park, La Mirada Golf Course, and La Mirada High School. To the south of City Hall, an eternal flame burns above the names of La Mirada servicemen who gave their lives for their country since 1960, the year the city was incorporated.
City Hall
La Mirada’s City Hall, dedicated in 1970, prominently sits on La Mirada Boulevard across from Biola University. It houses many of the administrative services of the city including the city council, building permits, and other services. Learn more

The La Mirada Library is operated by the County of Los Angeles Public Library system that features an extensive reference system. The library includes a number of youth services include reading, STEM, and entertainment programs. Learn more
Public Safety
Public Safety is responsible for the overall coordination of programs and services designed to preserve the health, safety, and quality of life in the community. Law enforcement is provided by the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department. Learn more
Resource Center
The La Mirada Resource Center houses many of the activities scheduled through the City of La Mirada and hosts numerous civic group events. Activities include music lessons, dance, ballet, arts & crafts, and exercise classes. Learn more
Activity Center
The La Mirada Activity Center offers programs and activities for youth and older adults. It features a reading area, game room, meeting rooms, and a large multipurpose room for group functions, rental events, and daily lunch for seniors. Learn more
Gymnasium
The La Mirada Gymnasium houses the City of La Mirada’s youth and adult sports programs as well as an array of fitness activities for older adults and families. It has set hours for free-play (open gym) for Gymnasium Members. Learn more
